I am looking into getting M170 in march but i was looking for a opinion. do you think that they will give the 170 a upgrade to the dual core within a short time frame or should i just get the m170 as this might not happen till 4thQ?

If others say it won't be for a while, I wouldn't get the M170 now for two reasons:
    1) The E1705 is a much better deal. The the M170, you're paying for a computer that looks like a UFO and supposedly[/I] for better customer service.
    2) When the M170 is updated, it will be even more expensive, and the E1705 will still be a better deal.

I really dont mind the price......well I wouldn't mind paying less, but I dont mind paying for quality and I like the specs on the m170.....the look could be better but I'm just really concerned about them updating the processor or something else right after i brought it

Yeah I actually don't like the styling much-never have liked dell styling much but the m170 really is bad in styling I much prefer black and or silver model styling. I think its a great machine but I to am waiting for a dual core version (with dual graphics? hehe) perhaps amd 4800 :) could be a great desktop replacement
