It was very confusing when I first started hunting for drivers. I didn't really get any help, and spent many hours trying to find a great working driver. It can be a little overwhelming at first, so I'll help ya get up and running. First of all, I would download a program called Driver Cleaner Pro, which you can download for free from Here.

There are many different drivers on the net. I can't tell you which is the best... that would probably be impossible. I can tell you my current favorite though :p . I am using the 84.25 drivers from laptopvideo2go.com, you can download the driver from Here. This driver keeps my video card at a low temp all the time, and It gives me a 6747 in 3dmark 05. You can download whatever driver you like though, as the 3dmark 05 score is just a synthetic benchmark.

After unpacking the 84.25 driver (or whatever driver you may be wanting to try), locate the folder. For the 84.25 driver you may want to download the hacked .inf file. You can find that right next to the driver. Right click on the link, and save the file to your 84.25 video driver folder, overwriting the old .inf file. Now your ready to start the installation.

    1) Go to add/remove programs, and find a program titled "NVIDIA Drivers". Uninstall that.

    2) Restart when asked. While restarting, boot up in safe mode (F8). You'll eventually get to an add new hardware wizard, just close that.

    3) Run the Driver cleaner pro program. Now your ready to install the driver. Find the 84.25 folder, and find a file titled setup.exe. Click that, and follow the prompts. When the driver is installed, restart. Let it restart normally this time.

    And thats it.
