Which notebooks are better for video editing?
Dell Inspiron or Sony GRT series?

The Apple Power Book is the best video editing machine, if you want a good Windows machine though you can tweak out a Dell Inspiron 8600 quite nicely to get yourself a nice video editing machine.

What would you have to 'tweak' for this?

Sony's lcd screens have more quality but it changes according to system configurations.
