    The remote is for controlling movies and media--remotely. Won't do much in games, though that would be pretty awesome :)

    Integrated sound will get you a long way, so just take the most basic sound card you find (most are "HD" anyway).

    I have no idea what the camcorder thing is but I assume it's like a webcam.

    Also, if you posted some specs of the computer it might help us judge if it's a good price or not, but the coupon does justify things a bit.
