I'm gonna put on mine software-wise....

    FEAR
    CoD 2
    NWN 2
    Halo
    Halo 2
    Half Life
    Half Life 2
About 50 mods for Half Life 2
    Firefox
    Starcraft
    Warcraft III
    Guild Wars
    Battlefield 2
    Battlefield 2142
and Crysis as it should be playable with settings turned down on the 8600 GT

    /breathe

My current PC can't run much of anything beyond Half Life 2 on mid-low settings, so it'll be nice trying some of the games I currently play on much higher settings, and just being able to play the games I can't play now like Battlefield 2.

    Hardware...

A nice, fast, flash drive with 4 gigs of space devoted to readyboost, when I find a good deal on one.

Midnight Blue wireless optical logitech mouse, that got delayed to effing september.

    And... uh... a basic headset.

I'll probably look for my own antivirus.
And I'll try out my Selftest software on it (I've read it works in Vista if you use the Windows 98 compatibility mode).
    And probably some music files.
    And I may need RMClock...

Don't invest too much, it's a graphics card but don't expect to play newer games cleanly :p

So far I 've tried cs source and i get 50 FPS maxed out, 1280x800, w/o AA

    -music,
-general use (text-editing, internet, mail, pornographic images),
-games (FSX, enemy territory, halo, battlefield 2, mohaa, swat 4, gta san andreas, trackmania, oblivion) ,
-and ofcourse -the reason why i bought this notebook- for school.

First partition the HDD and have vista and XP. Then all those pc I've wanted to play for so long but can't because of weak desktop. Lots of the ones I plan to play are listed already, I'm a big gamer and have been waiting so long to get a computer powerful enough to do my biddings. Adobe Premiere pro 2.0 and the whole package with it. And probably in November (birfday) an upgrade from 1.5 to 3GB ram and depending how much space I use for all my music, movies, tv shows and games, perhaps an ext. HDD, or an upgrade altogether and get a 2.5" drive enclosure for the 160GB one.

    Oh, and schoolwork...*sarcasm*

I am going to have to put,

Neverwinter Nights 2, World of warcraft, BF2 and 2142, Half Life 2 and CS:S. Going to install Windows Office Student 2002/3 edition for school work. Going to install NOD32 for antivirus, might keep windows firewall or install Zonealarm pro for vista. Update all my drivers and windows holes. Also going to install Dawn of War and expansions.

Install Firefox and WMP11 and VLC, MSN 8, Spybot Search Seek and Destroy and Adaware 2007. Internet Download Manager, and should be good to go after that :D

Also got to transfer all 30 GB of music over.
