    hey, im having problems playing online games like warrock. the game indicates i have a low ping and runs great in single player but lags horribly in multiplayer. the speakeasy speed test gives me 2500kbps d/l and 500kbps u/l. any ideas on what could be wrong?

    If your on wireless that may be your problem. The connection is fast, but isnt as stable as a wired internet connection. Try playing it on a broadband connection and see if it lags. If it does then thats your problem.

    wireless can cause lags.

    lags can also be caused by some software on your system (for example, a firewall).

    also try running a trace route ("tracert" command from the command prompt) to any server you're connecting to (so the syntax would be something like "tracert www.yahoo.com" or "tracert 124.245.65.12")

    I run BF2 on wireless and have never had any big problems with lag, i usually ping around 50-60

    ya im the same with jeff coleman for my css...i use wireless at both my dad and my mom's house and i get no lag with ping around 60-70
