order payment

hi everybody,

I ordered a new inspiron 1525 laptop from dell web site on 11/25 and on the same day the hold was placed on my debit card account(wells fargo) for an amount equal to the order total. and since that date my order "in production".

but today i checked my bank account and the hold was gone. but the order is still "in production" mode.
est ship. date 12/8/2008.

has somebody the same experience?
and maybe somebody know what should I do?

This is normal. The hold falls off after a few days; however, do not spend that money, because when the computer is shipped, there will be a withdrawal for the amount of the purchase without there having been another hold. Depending on how your bank is, you may check your balance one day and find that overnight your balance decreased by the amount of the purchase. Continuously check your balance.

Congratulations on your purchase. If you want more detail on the order status, you can call the automated order status line at 800-433-9014. A recording will tell you what part of the "production" process your laptop is in.

i called yesterday and automatic system told me that my laptop is in "boxing stage" and the est. ship day is 12/08

how do you think is it possible they will ship it earlier?
