    i just ordered my e1705.

    1.83 duo
    MCE xp
    2 gig ram
    60 gig 7200rpm
    7800 geforce
wxga screen (went to store and couldnt stand the glare)
4 year onsite warranty (planned to get 1 yr only, explination below)
    8x dvd burner
    3945 wireless
    free quicken book?? (not software)
$1627 +21(book) - 100 in mail in rebates = $1548 shipped to hawaii incl tax.

it was kind of a lengthy experience to order this but ill try and make it short.

the special was 34% off and i tried stackable coupon(online only and dell perfered accnt coupon) but shipping and handling to hawaii is approx 100$.
i called to see if i could get deal without shipping...unable to do it but she configured new deal. removed sonic and deluxe entertainment pack and added 4yr athome warranty and book for 50$ more then what i could have gotten my original deal for. but i have to send in 2 $50 rebates. :(

well im thinking thats about at the 40% off price so im happy

i already emailed support about my os disc, applications, etc.
hope to get it them soon.

My true life screen is tight. When I compare it to my exchange student's HP dull looking screen, I feel sorry for him.

but hey, what ever floats your boat.
