I hear the term often and to my understanding it makes the hard drive operate at a greater rate?

    1. what are the benefits/downfalls of this
    2. Is it a safe thing to perform by myself?
    3. How do I do it? (user friendly please I'm not as savvy as I'd like to be, trying to fix that)

you can overclock the processor, i have never heard of overclocking a hard drive before but i can imagine it would be dangerous.

Tehere is no shch thing as overclocking the hard drive....lol....
You can overclock the cpu and gpu.
The first one i don't recomand to overclock because
    1.It's dangerous.
2.You could permanently damage the cpu and mobo.
3.If you never done this before i sugest you don't do it.
4.If you definitely wanna do it then call someone with some experience in overclocking.(but i remind you,is almoast no gain in performance by overclocking the cpu on studio 1737)
In order to overclock your gpu you need the next softwares:ati traytools or rivatuner.
If you overclock your gpu it may be possible to obtain 4-5 fps in games.
BTW:the HD3650 it's downclocked by dell at a lower frequency.
