    I aam looking to replace the video card (currently a mobility radeon 7500c 16MB) with something better, at least a 32MB card, I am also looking to get a 7200rpm drive for this machine.

    I just picked up more ram for this machine from crucial to max it out at 1gig [ :)]

    so any ideas for where to shop for part for this dell inspiron 5100??

    For the video card, I believe the best bet is to call Dell Spare Parts so you can have the correct compatibility. I think you can get an ATI 7500 with 64 MB from them. You may have to call a few times because some of the operators don't like giving out video cards.

    As for the HD, you could also get it from Spare Parts but it is way overpriced. Check out pricewatch.com for the cheapest offers on the 7200 RPM HD.
