hey there everyone, just wanted everyone to know that if you're going to buy a dell soon, you don't have to pay for sales tax if you buy from a dell kiosk! i'm not sure if this extends to any other state, but i would assume so since its part of the back-to-school tax free week (its aug 4 - aug 13 in florida)

you won't find this online (fl was not on their list of states that get tax breaks). you might not get it over the phone either because i had called a csr about getting a tax break during the tax free week in FL and they told me florida would not get any tax breaks (even spoke with a manager)

but today i walked to the kiosk at the mall and they told me that all i had to do was order a dell there and i wouldn't have to pay sales tax! they also said that any coupon codes i have can also be used!

this can easily save people 50-100 or more dollars. if you're in florida, check it out. if you're not, well, it might be worth the drive to your nearest kiosk to save that big chunk of change. i'm considering using that money towards buying a 9-cell or a laptop sleeve

    here's a flyer i picked up:

oh by the way, if you're wondering, that 7% is the sales tax where i live. so yea.

certain states have periods where tax free discounts are in effect, it's for students going back to school.

They had this last week in NC. They don't actually not charge you tax. They just give you a discount that's equal to your tax.
