I have spec'd out a 1530 that, after taxes, comes out to 1418 using that 1199 deal as my starting point. I can maybe add one more upgrade within my budget, so what would you pick:

    1440x900 screen ($50)
    T7500 ($75)

You should probably post your specs thus far so we could better assist in what we think would be the better upgrade.

I'm not sure about 1440x900 vs. 1650x1080 just because my Photoshop needs, but the T7500 is definitely on my list as well.

I really struggled with the screen decision: the 1440x900 vs. 1650x1080. I too am a heavy Photoshop user so wanted as much real estate as possible. But I also write/read a lot, so I didn't want the text too small.

I went with the 1440x900: the text size is perfect. I'm used to working with more real estate in Photoshop, but I think I'll be fine with this screen.

I have the 1680x1050 for my 1520 and I don't have any problems reading text. I, too, chose it for the extra real estate.

Well you can always adjust the text size in Windows. But you can't adjust the number of pixels you need so I think it's better to go with the higher res. :) That's what I'm going to do probably.

I can't vote for either because I got the 7700 and the 1680, but if I had to have chosen only one I would have gotten the screen upgrade.
