    256MB NVIDIA ®GeForce™8600M GT

    or

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7300 (4MB cache/2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB)
    128MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS

    they got about da same price.......so which one is better gaming step up?

    I think that the 8600M GT will smash the 8400, reguarless of the CPU. the CPU's arn't that important to gaming as the GPU's are.

    Anyone else agree, I think I'm right.

    Yeah, I think the GPU will be the constraining factor in those two setups, best go for the fastest one then.

    I don't think any of those computers will be good for gaming. Request to have this thread closed and go to the "What Notebook to Buy" Forum. Fill out the FAQ there and a ton of people will help you pick the Dell or any other brand that will help you get the gaming power you need at the price you can afford.
