1520 clean install win7 64bit. have power settings sets to sleep only. instead of sleep, it powers down or something (power light off, won't wake up to run scheduled tasks)

when i was on 32 vista i remember having similar problem i think?

research has shown topics about issues with either usb wireless mouse reciever or maybe bluetooth (i'm not sure blutooth is even working correctly)

plus the other day had a sudden unknown device error on one of the usb port/drivers, tested all ports and seemed to still be working despite error driver message???

** how do i fix the sleep problem most of all?

    Thanks
this thing has literally pushed me to the edge with frustration. I sure could use some help with fixing it 100% with windows 7 64bit

If you manually tell it to sleep, does it sleep properly?

    thanks for reply...
No, it actually shuts down! This thing is confused as I am!

Do you/anybody know anything about the wireless usb mouse reciever and/or bluetooth causing problem?

When i was on vista 32 it did it too. i think i corrected w updating videocard drivers, however now, i did clean install w up-to-date drivers and this is the result...

** I just tested same manual sleep test I did two minutes ago, BUT with the usb mouse receiver pulled
It actually went into sleep mode (w/o powering down) and woke up when I touched track pad...

Well, I'm not really at handling laptops and computers, but I think this is some kind of error in operation system. What about re-installing it? It works for me))
Once I was surfing in the web and found a website with hundreds of useful tips and recommendations. And re-installing the operation system was one of them :)
