    hello. I have dell inspiron 6400 ( 2g.h 2 gig ram ati x1400 256 meg)
    when i re install my windows vista ( to increase it's partition ) windows can't reconized my blutooth chip and my blutooth led in even off.
    i havn't any device in my device manager that named blutooth.
    when i want to install blutooth driver ( if be blutooth driver) i see that this massage --> can not find blutooth chip in your computer

    but i know that my laptop have blutooth.
    what can i do?

    Try going Start --> Run --> fsquirt

    This might force Windows to recognise the device (or it might not - it's a bit of a stab in the dark but it's all I can think of right now - sorry).

    You may have to physically unattach to BT module, reboot, reattach it, and maybe even reboot after that.
    The BT works off of the USB hub. If yours is set to shut down to conserve power, it might not "see" the BT.
    Try going into Device Manager and "Scan for new hardware" under "Actions".
    You should see a question mark for a 'seen' device that has no driver installed. (My experience is with XP.)
