I have a 9300 and whenever I watch any type of video, the screen seems too dark to me even though I have the brightness as adjusted by FN-up arrow all the way up. Is there a way to further adjust the brightness? This is with the laptop plugged in by the way.

    Thanks.

what are you using to view the videos? does that particular app have any brightness controls? also, i have the omega drivers with the atitool and i think there is a color/brightness setting in it.

I'm using Media Player Classic. I couldnt find any brightness adjustments within the program. Maybe I need to update my video drivers.

If you have an ATI card, if you fiund something that says 'Video Overlay settings' in Advanced properties , that might do the trick. It usually helped me to adjust colors or brightness in MPC on my desktop.

It's almost funny that you are asking this question, because I just went through the same problem. Guess what! I found the answer (atleast one that worked for me)!

If you download and install the lastest driver's (follow this link): http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=125152

MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW ALL OF THE DIRECTIONS! The only different thing I would do is #3, do not uninstall from the control panel, rather pull up you original Nvidia control panel (right click desktop>properties>setting>advanced>adapters>properties>driver) then hit uninstall!

with the new and better drivers, you will get a new Nvidia control panel. It will load at start up on the bottom right of your screen, or you can access it: right click desktop>properties>setting>advanced>GForce GO 6800(tab at the top) and at the tab on the left, click on color correction.

Once you are there, a window will pop up on the left of the panel. You will see a slider marked "digital vibrance". Just slide that puppy up a little and it makes a huge difference. White's are brighter and colors are, well more vibrant! The slider goes from low>medium>high>max. My setting is on low, and it looks way better.

Try it out, I'll be happy to help you out as much as I can, just let me know, good luck!
