Well I have received my 1520 and am pretty disappointed in the screen. I bought this to replace my old inspiron 9100 which has just about had it. Anyways the screen on my 9100 is much better, and they are the same size, so I am wondering if anyone thinks it would be possible to swap the screens? I am pretty comfortable working in computers and opened them both up..both have the same lcd connectors but i am not sure if the power inverters would match up? I dont really want to fry the computer if they dont. Any ideas?

Check the datasheets to make sure they have the same pinout and the same voltages.

Well if anyone cares lol, I went ahead and swapped the screens, everything matched up perfectly, and now I have nothing to complain about on my 1520! Only thing is my brightness keys are now backwards, but that doesnt matter
