    hi..why doesnt my power icon load whenever windows start? i've set the setting to always show it on the taskbar..i'm using the inspiron 6000..thanks.

    Does it show when it is on power? I can't remember the exact settings of it, but check Quickset as well as XP and make sure that you have it checked. I think there is a setting somewhere in Quickset that shows the battery.

    it shows at times and sometimes it doesnt..i've checked it in xp's power management and the check is always there.
