    1) Can someone one tell me why ebay stores sell same config notebooks SO CHEAP?, claiming to be factory sealed NEW!!!

Why so cheap? are they stolen? broken? anything? how do they get the profit then?

Even the refurbished ones on dell outlet cost lot more than what these guys are offering as NEW!

    Please help!

    Thanks!

    2) Can anyone tell me whats the GRILLED/ CAGED thing at the top, near the keyboard on either side of the m90? Since the speakers are at the front edge, what is it then?
    Here is the picture!

    1) They buy a volume of notebooks. I imagine that if you were to call in an order for $10,000 or more then you would get special deals or discounts not available to someone just ordering one machine. I picked up a notebook one time from such a seller on ebay before, he litterally had a stack of about 20 of them sitting in his living room.

    2) Probably an intake vent for the CPU/GPU fans. They are almost directly under that area if I recall.

    3) I know you didn't ask but I will tell anyways: Alot of the used "off-lease" notebooks on ebay are usually purchased from dell's financing site DFS Direct Sales and I have seen M70's go for as little as $550 on there. Recently some core 2 models have shown up on there so it is highly probable you could snag an M90 for less than 700 if you watch for one in the next few weeks.

Hi, thank you so much. So you believe that 3300 USD worth that m90 being sold as 2300 USD is BRAND NEW, from DELL? its possible!!! WOW! And they will transfer the ownership i guess!

    what is OFF-LEASE?

    Thanks!

I don't know how cheap you've seen it on eBay, but I know that different colleges have different deals on different laptops. These eBay sellers could be using their student discount and then reselling it for "retail".

The reason for the price difference is because Dell marks it up a huge amount online for people who don't want to bother calling them up or getting in touch with Dell rep, who can always cut off a good chunk of the overhead.

If you buy in bulk from a rep it's even cheaper, so of course enterprising ebay sellers can turn them around for enough profit to make it worth their while but still way cheaper than you'd find from Dell's website.
