Allright, strictly speaking, windows has all the crap it really needs to let my computer connect to a wireless network. dell;s quickset enhances it by making it autoconnect to different places.

    so heres what im wondering.

    1) what is wifi catcher and what does it do and how does it work and what does it have to do with pro/set wireless? all i know is that it does on/off but i dunno about anything else it does. it only displays the connections i can make as far as i can tell.

    2) is it less intensive to use windows to manage my wifi and have proset completely removed except for the driver?

    thnx for your help.

Wi-Fi catcher is a Wi-Fi signal locater for when the system if OFF. You just click the switch, and if there is a wireless signal the light turns on.

As for the ProSet wireless, I'm not sure about if you can download it separately...but with the Dell drivers there is no ProSet software - you use the Windows Management Software. Nonetheless, I'd recommend the Windows Management Software because it does incorporate security features like Home and Public Network security features.
