I'm sorry I don't have the answer to your question, but would you mind telling me more about your 520? How you like the display and keyboard (aside from the obvious), what processor, and if the palmrest gets warm or not? Does the battery wobble much?

Good luck with your problem. Was it like this from the start, and you bought it new? Because there are programs that can reassign key functions, if someone did something crazy like that for some reason- maybe a restore to factory settings? Weird that the asus is this way too.

    sorry for the late reply,Leon
it seems that nobody know anything about this... :)
Are you considering bying a Latitude?
The Keaybord itself is good and comfortable,I think. It is very soft, with long travel, much more different and comfortable than the usual(non buisness type notebook keaboards.
The Display is not soo good. The biggest problem are the vertical angles-the slightlest movement of my head up or down and the colours of the display are changing and I have to tilt the lid ...before this Laptop I had an old Compaq Armada with Pentium 2(probably around 1998-1999 year),and I have to say that in my opinion I don't find the Latitude Display better in anyway...but saying that,I have to say that all the contemporary laptop displays that I have seen haven't impress me and have poor angles.
Dell claims that the high resulution one-1400\1050 one has twjce as good viewing angels that the one I have(1024/768)...
The build quality of mine is not impressive also (especially the lid)

sorry,I have missed your other questions..
oterwise it is quiet and cool.I have never put it under real pressure, though; The battery is good for 3-4 hours and works properly so far.
    It has Core Duo 1.6 (2030) and 512 DDR 2 533 Mhz Ram),integrated Intel 950 Video
I bought it new and unused form Ebay half an year ago for half pricec, because is was unsold stock and was a 1 year old technology(by the time I bought it there was the Core 2 Duo Processor out).Generally it was a good deal for me.I thought of bying a new Lnovo R 60 with Core 2 Duo,high resolution display,1 GB Ram a discrete ATI Video, but i found this one for half price...and went for it
do you consider bying a new or an old Latitude?
