    I kept trying to login to my preferred account and it said something about a server maintence thing

    Now it doesn't even give me the option, will the option be back tomorrow?

    tried it with dell home and still got the same thing

    If anyone has a preferred account please try making an order (well without actually buying it) and see if it comes up for your account too

    same problem here - don't want to rock the boat until my new laptop ships.

    Well it doesn't matter then, because on top of all the normal reasons of why you should place your order over the phone, you can ask for an extra 4% off of your order for using a DPA as the payment method :)

    I can get the same "on sale" discounts, student discount, dellcare discounts etc so I can get the same price?

    The remote is a waste of time...just say you are using your Dell Preferred Account and that you normally receive like 4% off or $50 off or osmething like that. Lately, I've been getting them saying that's for first time purchases only. So I just say well I've always ordered and received it, so...and then they give it to you ;)
