    hello,
i got my dell 1520 a week ago. I formated the OS vista and installed linux.
now i have a problem with my wireless. when i switch the wi-fi button, to turn the wi-fi on, the notebook starts to make a very very annoying high-pitched noise. its very quiet and you can only hear it when you are in a quiet room, but it drives me insane. when i turn the wi-fi off it stops. i figure it must be wi-fi. any suggestions on how to repair this inconvenience.
    thanx in advance Fr34k
