This may seem a little weird, but has anyone else encountered this before?
I ordered my 1520 with black cover on the 27th of August. The original production date showed up as the same day, the 27th. A few days later, it went to august 30th, then later the 3rd of sept, then the 4th. I look at it this morning, and now the production date is back to the 27th of Aug.
I wonder what this means? This is my first time ordering from Dell.
PS - The estimated delivery date stayed the same throughout the changes.

Yes, both Hp and Dell do this! A close friend of mine encountered the same problems with HP and all it took was a phone call to the sales dept to let them know that she needed the laptop asap, in turn they made the shipment and production priority and production date was fixed for 72 hrs.

It means the ESD is Bull#*&.... meaningless, at least your date changed. My ESD still says Sept 3rd (and has not changed since)..... Original order date Aug 2.
