I would only purchase a battery direct from where I bought my lappy. If you buy a Dell, get it from Dell vs. a non OEM.

It's safer for your lappy as a whole vs. venturing out to get it from some 'unknown' place.

I bought a non-OEM battery for my laptop. It lost more than 10% of its full capacity after the first charge cycle. I RMA'd it right away.

I wouldn't do it, but that's just me. If you cannot get a one from a "reputable" source, you could try looking for something on e-bay (from someone reputable), if need be.

Will agree with Cin, get one from ebay and make sure that the seller provides some sort of guarantee.

I bought mine from ebay and it never gave me any trouble. Buy from a US seller to be safe.
