The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Its been awhile since I've posted on here. As the title says...I have a red line on the left of my screen, but its only there when the desktop is present. When something like firefox(like right now) is up, the line isn't there, but if I minimize it, its there. Is my monitor going out? Its still under warranty, but I'm in school now and don't have time to send it out...

    Have you checked to see if there are new drivers out for you laptop? Perhaps try one of them from here: http://laptopvideo2go.com/

    Otherwise, get on the phone with technical support and see what they have to say.
