I bought my comptuer less then a year ago and got the standard warranty that came with it. Over the months the battery loses its ability to hold charge for as long. My laptop will shut down after about an hour now instead fo the 3 hours when I first got the laptop and the battary was new. Does the warranty cover a battery replacement for this reason? Thanks.

    Hey Halperin,

The Notebook Batteries Carry 1 Year Warranty Only From Invoice Date. Call CS and tell them to replace your notebook battery asap.

Yeah call Dell because if ever you will go beyond the 1 yr warranty of the battery and you havent call Dell regarding this issue before that they cant replace it but if ever you have called regarding this problem before and that is w/in 1 yr then they can still replace it.
