Hi i'm new with notebooks. i got a m1330, it says it has a 8 in 1 card reader. and i have a memory stick pro duo. can it read a memory stick pro duo? how? because the hole seems to be size of a SD (larger than a memory stick pro duo)

can someone tell me how? i inserted and the memory stick is significantly smaller than the hole

I have an e1505 that can read Pro Duo sticks, but you have to first put the Duo into the memory stick adapter. That makes it the size of a regular memory stick and then it pops right in. My Sony camera came with an adapter and so did the SanDisk 1GB card I bought. The same kind of thing happens with a microSD card.

    Hope this helps

always use the memory stick adaptor if you have a pro duo card. only few laptops e.g some vaios can read pro duo's without any adaptors. dont try and insert it into laptop that only takes in pro as it will get stuck

Just looked at the manual. I thought that it was a 5 in 1, that they advertised it as an 8 in 1 and it was actually a 5 in 1. (No longer did xd and something else.) I am thinking about buying a cheap digital camera and have been looking for one with SD because I thought xd didn't work any more. Anyone using an xd?

I don't have my i1520 yet so I don't know how well it works, but I use XD...

According to the manual XD is supported though...
