    did you try it?? i have much better calibration tools. i compared this to them and while it def was not as accurate it was far more accurate than stock and than most could do by eye

    Do you have any CRT calibration tools while you're at it? I've been looking for one of those for ages.

    EDIT: I just gave the calibration tool a quick run-through, and it does make the colors a lot less washed out then before.

    all of my crt one and ones i use for rear projection are on dvd's..

    But wow, I'm surprised you do color calibration... most people I know don't even know what the word 'calibration' means.

    lol i used to repair sets.. used to do repair work on crt and rear projections..i have lots of calibration tools as well not just dvd's but i use them for a quick run though when i dont feel like going through the whole process of opening up the sets

    Bloody expensive those DVDs are too. Back when I got my Sony CRT they were around $300 or so, IIRC. Always wondered if my CRT would look tons better if I had it calibrated. I'll download that program you linked to and run it when I get through downloading 3dmark06.

    What, exactly, is on them? Are they really worth the $300+ that you'd have to spend? Has someone not figured out how to copy them yet?

    sure they can be copied.. its illegal but yeah if you know someone that wants to do it they can be copied just like any dvd can.. even nav discs can be copied..
