Hi I was wondering if I could use two diff ram speeds at the same time on my e1505 or e1705.

    PC4200/4300 is 533Mhz
    PC5300/5400 is 667Mhz

I have a gig of each. I would like to use both in one system. thank you.

Yes, you can use either speed. The only thing that will happen, is the motherboard will lower the speed to the lowest out of the two. So, if you use one module of 533 MHz, and another of 667 Mhz, then both modules will run at 533 Mhz. Theres not difference in performance, between 533 MHz and 667 Mhz RAM.

Yeah, so there is no point paying more for 667Mhz RAM. The speed difference between 553 and 667mHz come down to the programs you use.
