This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Sorry, I completely understand your position...just thought maybe you could answer generally if a system restore point would work? Won't ask again..in fact won't ask anything again because really didn't like the final comment - "do NOT ask again" - message received, I won't.

    i don't think greg meant to offend you....but here at NBR we have zero tolerance for illicit activities....and what you asked is fishy....whether you like it or not.

    You are best off following his suggestions

    Dell is your best source of help for this since they can prove ownership, and they can walk you through fixing this and backup data and everything else. They may even know a way to fix it that none of us know of.
