I bought a e1705 from eBay and never had the option for the re-installation CD, can I purchase it after the fact? I am thinking about installing a 7200rpm drive and with the Symantec partion it could be a pain to get everything back on there.

Anyone have an extra they would part with?

u can request one from dell. just that when u call, u need to give them the shipping address, telephone number, service tag and email. you can only request the one that is labeled under the laptop. just tell them they didnt included when you bought it. u can try to ask the ebay seller for this info. yes u can request the cd to be shipped to u.

Contact Dell. They should be able to send you one as long as you have some kind of warranty. It won't cost you anything and you'll get it in about 2 business days.
