Hi, I have my latpot (specs in the sig) and Im thinking about putting to use the SD card reader that I have. I was thinking about 4GB extra fast SD card and leave it there permanently (well before I need to stick there a card from a camera or smht). SD cards are really cheap right now...so why the hell not....
Is there going to be any problem with permanent usage of SD as RAM?
how do I go about it when I want to stick it out? I guess I cant just pop it out or I would lose my data right?
Plus do you guys think it is of any good use for me? (already have 4GB DDR2...would that do anything recognizable? ...i already kinda guess that it wont be a significant change.. :) )
    thanks for your input

With 4GB of RAM it would just slow your system down to use it as readyboost.

yes you will have 8GB of ram but your computer will not distinguish which of the one is the Ram and which is the SD card. The Actual sticks of ram in ur computer are CONSIDERABLY much faster than any other SD card or usb card you can buy. Also, fyi check ur memory usage i doubt you ever use ur entire 4GB of ram already in the system so theres no real need for another 4 gigs.

Also speed has nothing to do with the amount of space you have, but the speed the space runs at. if ya get what i mean

yeah, readyboost is useless if you have 2gb or more ram.
