Is there a guide for XP install on the XPS1730?

One, i cant find my vista CD.

2- Where are the sata drivers located? during the XP installation it couldnt find harddrives.

3- It only seeks A: drive for sata drivers on a floppy. How can i burn onto CD and boot the sata drivers so i can install XP and get rid of this vista ****.

    thanks alot~

You probably need to add the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager" drivers during the install (or slipstream them into an XP CD before using it to install).

You can download the matrix driver (not the manager, atleast in my case) from Dell.

You may want to search these forums for threads dedicated to XP clean install. Search for: slipstream, nLite, nliteos.com.
Or check these threads: One, Two, Three. I installed XP in ATA mode and enabled AHCI subsequently. Worked great with no slipstreaming.
