Sorry for ignorant, but if i refuse delivery on a laptop, do i get to be charged anything ?
-
no but it's better to call dell and tell them that u r doing it...
-
is it considered a bad practice ? And does it affect me as a customer in anyway in the future ?
i'm not quite familiar with US business. -
You can log on and cancel the order at anytime and then refuse delivery if it actually comes after that. I would think Dell would tell UPS to bring it back. There is also a 21-day return policy at Dell, so you could accept delivery and then mail it back to them and get your money back!
-
if he accepts it and then returns it, isn't there a restocking fee associated with the return? i imagine bwginner wants to avoid that...
-
yeah i'm talking to CSR now and they want to charge 15% restocking fee even if i refuse delivery :S
Is there anyway to avoid restocking fee ? -
Call and talk with them. Maybe just say you are going to order another different notebook... They might allow it, they might not. Since you never opened the box afterall...
-
I was told that u can return it without restocking fee for 21 days and I had the delivery refusal setup but changed my mind. They told me I wasn't going to be charged...
-
The restocking fee is going to be charged, becasue you had a unit custom built and then returned for no reason (no defect).
-
Oh well it's a good deal anyway, i just hate the intergrated graphic ><. Thanks to all who replied.
