    9300wonder,
The one year warranty will not cost you anything to have the screen replaced. You have to go through technical first usually which in my opinion isn't neccessary if It's a brand new notebook especially if within 21 days. Is your one year warranty limited to shipping it back for all services or does it say in home also? Don't think you're so handy unless you've done it many times to let them send you the replacement to do yourself. You have a warranty right now!

P.S I along with many others have let people know that if you used your own charge card, your warranty is extended after the initial warranty expires depending on your credit card It's typically one more year.

So if you used your own credit card not Dells , call to find out the details and if you weren't aware of this before ,then you should be quite pleased.

    Good luck,

It's your call but I'm really sorry I replaced my original LG. I've been thru 3 Samsungs and they were all the same as the LG except video is washed-out, dull compared to the LG. If I still had the LG I would have kept my 9300.
