Third time is a charm, we will see. How many will they send? I'm still in my 21 days so we will see.

Have you tried using different headphones? I noticed that even though the pair of headphones that came w/ my laptop had a little noise, a pair I had at home worked with them just fine.

I received my Vostro 1500 yesterday and it has this annoying headphone noise. I checked with my Logitech headphones that are of pretty good quality but can't ignore that irritating noise, though it doesn't seem to bother while actually listening to music... yet to decide, whether to live with this or send it back.

u know, lots of laptops have the noise issue. what i did is i got an X-fi Notebook for 60 odd dollars from their website. this lets me hook stuff up in optical or listen to headphones, and has REALLY nice features too.

Exactly. I have to unplug the AC adapter to get rid of the noise in 2 other laptops before.
