Isn't there a combination of keys to hit, in order to reset my dell to it's original condition? Thanks

Cant say i've ever heard of a few keys you press and your computer resets itself to its original condition.. i think your referring to formatting your drive?

F8 at boot if you still have the recovery partition. Recovery discs if you don't.

you can use a recovery partion but that is about it. It is not like a ipod were you hold down a button and all settings are reset

Choose the option to repair your computer after hitting F8 (Advanced Boot Options), and then the option to restore it to factory condition. Make sure you back up your data first.

    Cheers...

if i remember correctly, on a dell holding shift+f11 or ctrl+f11 during boot brings you to a system restore screen...as long as your recovery partition is still in place.

cant remember exactly the key combination, but it does exist.

Just wondering: Do all current Dell product lines/models have a recovery partition? Because I was under impression (maybe wrong?) that, for example, Latitudes don't have this, since it's likely presumed they will be used in a more corporate situation.
