    retrieving deleted pictures

    Sorry--newbie here, and I couldn't find a thread about this. Can pictures taken with a webcam be retrieved after deleting? I'm pretty computer illiterate, so thanks for putting up with me! :eek:

    Possibly. Depends on the program you used to take the pictures with. It would help if you gave us more info. Was it through AOL? What model is the laptop?

    Was the picture sent through email?

    It's a Dell Inspiron 1525. It just says Laptop Integrated Webcam. It was not sent as an e-mail but was saved on the desktop at one point and then deleted. Thanks for your help.

    Just make sure it isn't in the recycle bin. That should prevent most people from finding it.

    People are going to suggest you use secure delete tools and such, but I wouldn't suggest them to beginners. You could do some potentially irreversible damage :yes:
