    Is it at all possible to DIY fit internal bluetooth in the inspiron 1420/ vostro 1400 notebooks? Thanks

    You can buy the adapter separately and install it your self.

    Just go on Dell's website and look for it.

    if you lift the plastic between the keyboard and hinge the bluetooth module will pop right in the slot.

    I bought bluetooth for my Vostro 1500 after I got the laptop and installed it myself. It works, but the only thing I'm not sure about is that the bluetooth light never comes on. Isn't it supposed to?

    i installed it myself, and the bluetooth light works. try going into the BiOS and turning BT on if its off
