I just got my Vostro 1500 and have a question that seems to have a simple solution, but I can't figure it out :confused2:

When use it on battery pwr, the screen dims...for power conservation, I guess, but a little too much for my taste. Where do I adjust this?

I tried control panel -> power options ... but that's not it..

    Can someone help?

    Thanks

Control Panel - Mobile PC - Power Options - Edit Plan Settings

you should also be able to control it from the bios setup screen (hit f2 on the "dell" screen during startup)

I can confirm this. Not too hard to find, Dell makes their BIOS interface fairly intuitive.

Hold the fn key and press the arrow up to raise it, and arrow down to lower it.

That would not change the default setting. Try the other way above.
