    screen flickers when on battery power

    I have a XPS M1730 the system works fine with ac power to it when I unplug the adapter the screen will flicker this is worse when playing a movie, I have done a fresh install of windows xp pro (this is what came with the system) updated all the dirvers, the BIOS is current, also Dell sent me a new battery and it still does it with the new battery. Any suggestions?
