    i have a Dell Inspiron E105 and the screen goes black on me for no reason, i have went to the power option and fooled around with the options and it still goes black on me from time to time

    Have you tried connecting to an external monitor, to see if you have same problem.
    Could be the backlight.

    How long have you had your E1505 and when did this problem start occuring? Did anything strange happen to it before it started happening? Did you install something before it started happening?
