okay so, i know this isn't a huge problem but during the loading process between the black screen with the microsoft sign in the middle and the light blue introduction screen where you log in the screen becomes horribly distorted for about 2 seconds. it almost looks like a tv channel that does not work, extremely grainy and fuzzy. it has green and black specks all across the screen. anyone know what this is? am i able to fix it?

oh btw i have a dell xps m1530 with an..LPL...i forgot the rest, but i think it's an LG.

It sounds like a driver problem. Upgrade to the latest at www.lapvideo2go.com.

    I'm using 169.09 without issues.

This happens with my system as well. It is not a driver problem.. it is just something that happens for whatever reason. I don't think it is a big deal at all, as it is there for about 2 seconds at most.. so I just deal with it. This happened with both my Samsung and LG LCD's so it is not a screen issue either.

I get it too! It's only a couple seconds and its only a portion of the screen and not the whole thing either with me anyways! Thank God I thought it was something else.

This happened to me, but only after I did a clean install. In other words, when it was "out of the box," it was without the black scratchy crap. Anyone know if there's something going on?

Typically this is a common problem with systems with an integrated graphics card. Either that, or its a driver issue.

I believe it's neither. I mean, for one, I don't have an integrated card. And secondly, I updated the nVidia driver. It's not horrible, since it's basically what everyone else said: just a two-second screen that looks like someone spilled black paint on the screen and then it goes normal and stays that way (until I restart). I was just wondering. By the way, I clean installed my M1530 and had no problem, so it's not because I'm doing it wrong.
