    serial port to inspiron 6400?

    my laptop is inspiron 6400 and it doesn`t have any
    serial port .
    i want to know if i can add serial port to my system or not?

    physically no you wont be able to. that would require putting in a new motherboard with a serial port connection as well as having the ample space to actually have the serial port be accessible through the chassis. since that is not possible, you can get something like a USB to Serial connection cable like found here http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?sku=241652&oext=1038A
