hahahahhaha - i wonder if they removed it because there were so many delays and they didn't want people not ordering because of it.

or maybe it's just broken but it seems suspect.

in addition to almost all lids being backordered, now the anti-glare screens our delayed 6 days and 1200x800 glossy are delayed 12 days.

Im seriously wondering about dell though. An estimated ship date seems like an extremely easy thing to get right. And when they fail twice on the same order? Idk whats up with that.

Dell currently has the most orders received and the least laptops received.

If my laptop ends up getting delayed by all these recently added delays, Im going to demand some kind of compensation. Like, half off my laptop. So maybe not quite that extreme, but I've been told repeatedly that none of my parts were on backorder.. and if they are...

These delays are absolutely blowing my mind. I now do not expect to get my laptop anytime CLOSE to when I have to go to school.

    Thanks for nothing, Dell.

At this rate I also am uncertain about whether or not I will receive a laptop before I begin college. Its really got me drawing a blank. Can dell really be that slow and behind on everything? Did they not see a surge of customers ordering their new laptops? God forbid customers would want to buy the newest and latest laptop from dell. But I have a feeling that my total wait time will end up being well over a month before all is said and done.

Yeah, MAJOR screw up by Dell. I hope they understand that they are really pissing off their customers.

Ordered my Dell 1520 on July 6, ship date was July 20. The ship date changed to July 27 on July 19. Today I checked my order on-line, and had to OK a new ship date of August 3, or maybe it was August 6. They also called me on the phone, an automated message, talking real fast, with a phone number to call. They said I had to OK the newest ship date, or my order would be canceled.

I noticed today that there is a note beside the colors for a few builds, saying that the color would delay shipment. I keep going and repricing, to see if I can find a better deal. :D
