I would send your notebook via registered post thus Dell would have to sign to collect the parcel.

That return label you used, and the receipt the UPS store should have given you..would have have the tracking number on it. (The return label already has the tracking number on it).

wow, pleasantly surprised by Dell's efficient return process. my return package just arrived at Dell's return center this morning, and guess what, they already credited full refund back to my CC yesterday. totally happy with my experience.

Glad you were able to get some positive resolve. When I returned a lappy to Dell, I tracked the return package tracking number daily to make sure it was on it's way back safely with no "issues".

You also got your CC refunded in a "more than timely manner". Sometimes, that can take up to 30 days :)

Maybe Dell Outlet is different, I got credit through PayPal back into my account the same day (before Dell even got the machine back, I tracked the UPS # during my workshift).

Could be :) That's pretty nice you got the credit back into your PPal account that quickly. I will check with a friend on how long the credits have taken when he has returned to the Outlet.

Ya I first thought it was a mistake. My Gmail account showed I had a 458 dollar return when I showed up to work. Perhaps purchasing from the Business & Education gets you faster service? But you shouldn't just have to buy a business oriented laptop to get better service, but hey I'm not complaining lol.

Yeah..that was very quick. Dell doesn't like giving money away, so you had some good service! :p :D

I checked with my friend, and on one of his purchases it took a few days..and one time...it was so bad that he had to call his bank (it took well over 30 days). So, I think it is a "hit or miss" per se.

I have also noticed the difference between Dell Business and Home in terms of shipping and speediness

Well they all should offer 3-5 business day shipping for Outlet, mine literally came in 3 days. Ordered November 29th, came December 2nd. My E6410 also came in 3 days, even during a huge snowstorm. Maybe just good luck with Dell, who knows.

For new units, it maybe drastically different. Newest SB models took weeks for Dell to ship Business. But once the ball got rolling, business does tend to ship faster as there are less options vs consumer grade laptops, so less configurations.
