should i be sad that i just went with the stock graphics option and didnt upgrade to the better card? i don't do gaming ever and this laptop is just a second for me to use. i also have a year old desktop. i use the laptop for work. since it's just a second machine for me i didn't want to spend a ton of money on it.
i got the 1420 with the anti glare screen.

No. There's no need for a good graphics card if you don't play games.

if you aren't gaming than there isn't a need for a dedicated video card.

thanks - that's what i thought. i got fired (and lost my latitude with it) in february and since then i have been using a new gateway that my dad gave me. it was a gift - and i still can't bear to use it. i've only ever used dells. i tried to like it. but after just a few months, the left click is depressed and unresponsive, word freezes regularly and the other day the keyboard randomly starting typing the letter 'o' wherever it felt like it. i ordered the 1420 that day.
it shall be named rustyosaurus, after my moniker. my desktop is named sampson. -
Gateway has something wrong with their laptops... it takes me FOREVER to boot up even the first day I got it. I tried reformating stuff, optimizing using Bootvis, etc... but nothing seemed to work!
should i be sad?
