sorry if theres a thread on this, if there is lock it up.
my question is do you guys think dell is gonna put out better coupons for the 1530 soon? (graduation and everything) i know theres the 20% and 25% off now, but i can only use the 20% since im not gonna go up to like $1500 for the 25%. the thing is i need it by july 13th. and im not sure if i can wait.

No. Now is the best it will get before Montevina.
-
I say if you need it before 7/13...just order it now..
Thing is, the Dell coupons are always *coming and going*.
If you don't get it now, and wait. Are you going to lose out on a great deal now..and perhap's have a worse deal later? Could your possibly not purchasing now, delay your order even longer ~ once you finally do decide to purchase?
Technology is *ever-changing*, as *Dell deals* are....And, also are "here today, gone tomorrow".
Just my opinion -
i been watching the coupons since april and i havent seen a better coupon than a 25% off..
I suggest you get a XPS OVER the $1599 amount so you can get the 25% off..
Mine is 25% off and it came out to be $1283.48 after ALL of the top specs.. check it out in my sig.. -
hmm lefix, how does it run on 2gb?
and damn how did you get it to 1283.. no tax in your area or something?
i did the same specs and i got 1404.. lol -
I got 4GB of RAM installed even though the system only recognizes 3.5GB. With 2GB, I noticed that there is occasionally some lag in terms of opening windows and programs, but with 4, everything is fluid and speedy. Just make sure you get RAM from elsewhere like Newegg.
Yes, there is noticable difference and faster startup time too. -
yea, i was going to buy 4gb on newegg. (probably corsair or crucial) too bad i cant do 1gb instead of 2. lol.
but this is basically what im going for:
xps 1530
tux black
vista home prem
2gb ram
2.4 core 2
1280x800 15.4
m8600gt
160gb hd
wifi N
BT
and probably gonna add the belkin messenger bag.
total comes out to 1209.92 + like around 80 for the ram.
and damn forte your all over the dell forum haha. -
Get Corsair, its a lot cheaper than Crucial in terms of PC-5300 memory and Im sure performs just as well. I actually ordered Corsair myself for my M1530.
should i wait? (xps 1530)
