I just got my XPS m1330 today, and I love it. Buuuuut, when I sit it down my desk, it wobbles a bit, not all the pads are flush with the desk. If I pin down the upper right corner, and then the lower left, then it is. It's barely noticable, but a pain when typing.

And the left side hinge for the screen has a gap, when I push it in, the screen bows a bit, outside of that it works fine. I'm just worried about how well it will hold up over time. I went with the super nice and light/thin screen, I wonder if this a problem for this screen?

Has anyone else had these problems before? I got the super extended service package, and I am aware that I can get a guy out here to fix this, how do I do that?

    Thanks a lot!

I would call Dell and request a replacment as this happened to my xps m1330 and I was told that they couldn't just replace the little feet because they were fused into the bottom cover

The screen hinge gap has been reported before on both the M1530 and M1330. Seems to be more a of cosmetic issue than anything else.

Warning: The instructions below are supplied without any warranty whatsoever. By attempting this procedure you agree to be solely responsible for any damages to your laptop and/or anything else.

The uneven base has also been reported on both models. An easy fix is the following.

Put the laptop on a flat base. Put a Dime (10 cents) under one of the 2 pads that are always touching the surface. In your case since the upper right corner to the lower left corner is uneven put the Dime under the upper left pad. Apply a gentle downward pressure simultaneously to the upper right corner and lower left corner until the 2 corners are touching the surface. remove the dime and it base should be even.

Notice I said to use a Dime, you can use something slightly thicker like a quarter but I would strongly advise against it.
